Landscapes As An Image

I am fascinated by the endless variety of light, shape, angle and seasons of the land. There is no second of any minute, of any hour, of any day of any millennium which is exactly the same in any landscape.

The season, sun aspect, clouds, weather, time of day, angle of light, and wind are all ingredients in the ever changing and never duplicated recipe of a landscape photograph. Perhaps the most unique images of our environment are rainbows, sunsets, and sunrises. Each and every one is individual, and completely different from any other. The instant in which the image is created can never be duplicated. It is the only recording of that particular millisecond of that scene from that specific vantage for infinity. There are few creative endeavors one can undertake with the certainty that they have never been done before, and will never be repeated.

The photo pages on this site were promised some months ago. They are finally going up and I hope that you enjoy them. There will be a number of pages, each with its own theme: landscapes, sunrise/sunset, and rainbows. These pictures will include just some of my many favorites. I have been fortunate to capture these shots in wild and remote places in the mountain regions (and occasionally the coast) of two continents over the last 38 years. These will be offered for sale and changed out from time to time. More details will be up shortly for those of you who are interested in purchasing. Whether you buy or not, I hope they make you smile.
