Reid is an exceptionally good writer. As a former combat vet, I love his patriotism and his ideology. Both of us love the land and I also have done a mini part in helping to preserve it. We are both authors, but I can not match Reid when it comes to sex scenes. I blame this on having old western movies ingrained on my persona. They lacked realism, but left an indelible impression on a young mind. Whether or not I will share the opinions that Reid surpasses McMurtry’s great “Lonesome Dove” or L’Amour is still up for grabs, but he certainly is close.
